Wolfsberg Group Appoints Rachel Sloan as Co-Chair and Debra Roberts to its Management Committee
The Wolfsberg Group announces the appointment of Rachel Sloan as Co-Chair of the Group and the appointment of Debra Roberts to its Management Committee. Rachel succeeds Emma Molvidson, who has stepped down from her role as Co-Chair following her appointment as Head of Group Internal Audit at UBS. Rachel will serve alongside Steve Munro as Co-Chair of the Wolfsberg Group. These appointments come at a pivotal moment for the global financial crime community. As institutions adapt to rapidly evolving threats, increasing expectations around effectiveness, and the opportunities created by technological innovation, the Wolfsberg Group remains focused on strengthening collaboration between the private sector, public authorities and international partners to improve outcomes in the fight against financial crime.
Steve Munro, Global Head of Financial Crime Risk at Standard Chartered Bank and Co-Chair of the Wolfsberg Group, said:
The Wolfsberg Group has entered a period where the conversation is increasingly focused on tangible, effective outcomes in managing financial crime risk: how we measure effectiveness, how we achieve it, and how we continuously improve it. Rachel brings deep expertise, a global perspective and a practical understanding of the challenges institutions face as they modernise their financial crime frameworks. I am delighted to welcome her as Co-Chair and look forward to working together as we help shape the next phase of the Group's work.
Rachel Sloan commented:
The Wolfsberg Group has a unique ability to bring together diverse perspectives from across the public and private sectors to address some of the most complex challenges in financial crime risk management. I am honoured to take on the role of Co-Chair and look forward to working with Steve, the Management Committee and our partners around the world to advance effective, innovative and collaborative approaches to combating financial crime.
Rachel Sloan is the BSA Officer and Head of the Global AML Program at Citi. She has held senior financial crime leadership roles across the banking and professional services sectors and has been an active contributor to the Wolfsberg Group's work through her participation on the Management Committee since January 2026.
The Wolfsberg Group also announces the appointment of Debra Roberts to its Management Committee. Debra Roberts is the Global Head of Financial Crimes Compliance for JPMorgan Chase. Throughout her career, she has served as a prosecutor, compliance executive, legal advisor and consultant, bringing extensive experience across both the public and private sectors.
Tracey McDermott, member of the Wolfsberg Group Management Committee, commented:
Debra has spent her career helping organisations navigate complex financial crime challenges while remaining focused on practical outcomes. At a time when the industry is rethinking how it assesses and demonstrates effectiveness, her breadth of experience and strategic insight will be enormously valuable. We are very pleased to welcome her to the Management Committee.
The Wolfsberg Group also expresses its appreciation to Emma Molvidson for her leadership and contribution during her time as Co-Chair.
Ned Conway, Executive Secretary of the Wolfsberg Group, said:
Emma's contribution to the Wolfsberg Group has been exceptional. She helped guide the Group through a period of significant evolution, championing stronger engagement across the public and private sectors and helping to shape important discussions on the future of financial crime risk management. Her leadership, judgement and commitment to collaboration have left a lasting mark on the organisation, and we are deeply grateful for her service.
Conway added:
The discussions taking place across the financial crime community today increasingly centre on innovation, responsible use of technology, information sharing and the pursuit of more effective outcomes. Rachel and Debra join the Wolfsberg Group at an important moment as we work with partners around the world to translate those discussions into practical action. Their experience and leadership will strengthen our ability to contribute meaningfully to that effort.
